SCHEDULING SERVICES

 We have developed a proven method to incorporate stakeholder input at the early stages of a project to develop program schedules. Corax has effectively generated plans for early-stage programs and long-range capital projects. Early partnership in the design phase of a project enables us to create a unified project plan with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and other stakeholders.  We can create a schedule in conjunction with the engineering/architectural firms and project stakeholders to identify key turnover points, permitting, and procurement process for the general contractor. The scheduling team at Corax has experience in many sectors of the construction market and can produce master plan schedules for projects from inception to closeout. 

We have developed criteria for reviewing contractor proposal schedules. This enables an assessment that provides insight into the attention to detail by the contractor in preparation for the proposal. We can review planning for the execution of procurement and construction and provide concise feedback on compliance with the RFP documents.

After project award and contract execution with the primary contractor, we can assist in the establishment of a baseline schedule.  We can assess the thoroughness of the basis of the schedule by reviewing the project calendar, assessing potential weather days, and identification of project float.  The baseline review ensures the completeness of the schedule network and the continuity of the critical path.

   Corax provides a full analysis on the contractor’s monthly schedule submission.  Reviews include identifying risks within the logic network, trend analysis data, and providing a concise narrative for the project stakeholders. Recommendations are provided to the contractor on scheduling and planning best practices. Our team can present the findings to the project stakeholders and provide training to the contractor on how to improve the technical health of the project schedules. Corax can facilitate communication between the stakeholders and help identify risks at an early stage. These monthly reviews enable the project team to mitigate the identified risks and benefit from identified opportunities. 

  All projects inevitably encounter delays and changes to the project scope.  Corax will review change order request for time extensions and recommend approval or rejection.  These reviews are based on industry best practices and contract language defining if time extensions are excusable and compensable.  We can also review the schedule before the impact and after the impact and determine the validity of the magnitude of the impact.

We can also provide a review of any submitted recovery plans by the contractor and evaluate if the plan creates additional risks or opportunities.

 Corax has the experience necessary to incorporate earned value management into a project.  For owner’s this is most helpful when developing project budgets and timelines.  This can be developed at any level of detail.  Corax has a standard set of reports to help visualize the costs and labor required to complete a project.
