SCHEDULING SERVICES

  We have developed a proven method to incorporate requirements from RFP’s, project stake holders to develop proposal schedules. Corax has effectively generated plans for proposals. Early partnership in the proposal phase of a project enables us to create a project plan that incorporates constraints, holidays, weather days, and identifies appropriate work schedules.  We can create a schedule in conjunction with the estimating and project management teams to identify key procurement packages to facilitate a successful preconstruction process for the general contractor.  The scheduling team at Corax has experience in many sectors of the construction market and can produce proposal schedules for projects from inception to closeout.

  We have a set of criteria for developing contractor baseline schedules.  Our process for establishing the basis of the contract baseline enables us to be consistent in our approach to ensure compliance with contractual obligations. Corax can also develop reports to ensure compliance with contractual requirements for the schedule submissions.

  Corax provides a full schedule update service for projects of any size and complexity. During the review we capture the project status, and evaluate any changes that need to be completed. An audit is performed to review the contractor’s critical path, potential near critical activities, and review of the past periods performance. Reviews also include identifying risks within the logic network and providing a concise narrative for the project stakeholders.

Recommendations are provided to the contractor on scheduling and planning best practices. Our team presents the findings to the project stakeholders and provides training to the contractor on how to improve the technical health of the project schedules and better utilize the project schedule as a communication tool. Corax can facilitate communication between the stakeholders and help identify risks or trends at an early stage. These reviews enable the project team to mitigate the identified risks and benefit from identified opportunities.

    All projects inevitably encounter delays and changes to the project scope. Corax reviews impacts to the project and quantifies delays to the project schedule. Corax assists in the preparation of change order request for time extensions utilizing industry best practices and contract language to support the delay.

We also prepare recovery plans with the contractor’s project management team and evaluate if the plan creates additional risks or opportunities.

  Corax has the experience necessary to incorporate earned value management into any project. EVM can be developed at any level of detail. Corax has a standard set of reports to help visualize the costs and labor required to complete a project. 

We develop training in conjunction with contractors to meet the needs of their project teams. Training topics include Primavera P6, scheduling best practices, time impact analysis and delays, and reviewing schedule updates.
